Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Review

I have been using the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle conditioning treatment for a few years now. It is my go-to deep conditioning treatment in my array of hair products. I have always been able to count on this product to revive and awaken my hair when it is starting to look dull and frizzy.

I use this product about once every two weeks to give my hair moisture once again after all the styling and heat tools that I use. All you have to do it apply it in the shower after you have shampooed and conditioned your hair and leave it on for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes I always notice that my hair is detangled and silky. To rinse it out it is important to follow the instructions and rinse it with warm and then cold water. This will ensure that it is completely rinsed out of your hair.

I love this product because I can always rely on it to add shine and silkiness to my hair very quickly. This product is also inexpensive, around $3 and 1 bottle lasts me about 6 months!

Check it out at your local stores and check out Aussie.com for more of their products!

Crest Whitestrips Intensive Professional Effects Review

I am always looking for the latest and greatest when it comes to at home teeth whitening. I want to keep my teeth looking bright without taking drastic measures by getting them professionally whitened at the dentist office.

Crest Whitestrips have worked for me in the past but I haven’t used them in a few years. Just recently I started looking for some whitestrips and I heard rave reviews about the intensive whitestrips by Crest.

Crest Whitestrips Intensive Professional Effects are the most expensive and said to give you the best results out of the different levels of whitestrips that Crest sells. These cost about $50 but while researching I found a $10 rebate form online.

Find it here:

 $10 off Rebate Form

These whitestrips come with 7 packets with an upper and lower strip in each. The directions say to use them for one week and for 2 hours each time. Having to wear them for 2 hours is the only downside I found to these. Even though they stick very well to your teeth, it is a bit inconvenient to wear them for such a long time.

Although since you only have to wear them for a week it is not too bad! After 3 days I have already seen a DRAMATIC change in the whiteness of my teeth. I am very pleased with how well they are working and look forward to seeing the results once a week is done.

If you decide to try any of the other types of Crest Whitestrips I would recommend any of them that have advanced seal. These stick to your teeth really well and don’t slide around or fall off like strips without advanced seal!

Bliss Body Butter Review

While watching the Today Show about a week before Christmas I saw a segment on holiday gift deals where they featured Bliss Body Butters. At the time Bliss was running a special, 4 body butters for only $29. They are normally $29 each so I took advantage of the opportunity to try them.

I gave 2 of the lotions away as Christmas gifts and kept 2 for myself. I have the lemon and sage scent, as well as the raspberry champagne scent, which has a hint of glitter. I prefer body butters to lotion because they are a thicker, creamier lotion, that is more moisturizing.

While I have used other body butters in the past I really love the bliss version because they are paraben free, extremely moisturizing, and make your skin very soft. They are a little pricy when they are not on sale, but definitely worth it since they last a long time!

Give these body butters a try if you get a chance. I hope to try other Bliss products and maybe even visit one of their spas one day!

Hair Product Review: Not Your Mother’s Hair Care

I noticed recently that my local grocery store started carrying Not Your Mother’s hair products. I have heard of this line before but never tried it because I haven’t been able to find it.

I picked up 3 things out of the hair product line and have been trying them for a few weeks now. Each of the following products are around $4.

She’s a Tease Volumizing Hairspray

I have found that this volumzing hairspray is AWESOME for teasing your hair. I usually tease the crown of my hair just a little bit on a daily basis and this is the perfect hairspray for this. I spray it before teasing and it holds all day long and smells great! I have tried using it as an overall style spray but I wasn’t pleased with the outcome. It was somewhat thick and hardened on my hair which I did not like.

Overall I would recommend it for teasing only. It works amazing for keeping tease just not as an all over hairspray.

Girl Powder- Volumizing Hair Powder

This is a powder that works to volumize your hair. I would recommend it for teasing. I use this simultaneously with the volumizing hairspray; grab a chunk of hair, tap a little bit of this powder on it, spray some of the volumizing spray on it and them back-comb it. It is a perfect combination to create volume that holds all day long.

This powder is like magic to create volume and height.

Rise and Shine Silky Smooth Shine Mist

I had never used a shine spray before using this product and now I don’t think I could live without it! This is the last step for me when I style my hair; it is the perfect finish. This spray smells delicious and adds a ton of shine to my hair.

I highly recommend this spray!

The next Not Your Mother’s product that I would like to try is the Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray.

Check out all the Not Your Mother’s hair products here and look for them in your local stores!

Brand New OPI Liquid Sand Nail Polish

A few days ago I saw an ad in a magazine for the new Mariah Carey Opi Nail Polish Collection. It mentioned their new Liquid Sand nail polishes.

Today when I went to get my nails done (I have acrylic nails but keep them fairly short) I was excited to see that they had this new collection. I decided to try the new liquid sand polishes. I got the purple glitter color called ‘Can’t Let Go’.

My nails!

They also have liquid sand a pink/red glitter ‘The Impossible’, a blue glitter ‘Get your Number’ and a red/black glitter called ‘Stay the Night’.

Liquid Sand- Stay the Night, Get your Number, Can’t Let Go and The Impossible

The liquid sand is a textured glitter polish that has a sort of gritty feel. After 2 coats it is very sparkly but also has a matte finish which looks neat. You do not use a topcoat with the liquid sand polish. Overall I would recommend you to try these new colors, if not liquid sand, the Mariah Carey collection has a few other gorgeous colors.

Other colors in the Mariah Carey Collection- A Butterfly Moment, Sprung, Pink yet Lavender and Anti-Break

I love that OPI is always coming out with new ideas for nails and I think the liquid sand is a cool concept. I have always had good experiences with OPI polishes- they are rich colors and high quality, high stay-power polishes! If you see these in your nail salon or local stores try them out!

You can also see what they look like on nails on the interactive ‘Try It On’ feature on OPI’s website, pretty cool! Go to OPI.com

January 2013 Shopping Finds

Here are a few great deals I have found in the last few weeks:

*Mossimo Verano Leopard Pumps from Target

I just happened to be cutting through Target’s shoe section when I spotted the some clearance shoes. I absolutely had to stop and I am glad I did because I found these heels for $8, originally $30.

Mossimo Verano Leopard Pumps

These heels are a soft leopard suede with a moderately high heel. I have a black pair just like these from Target and they are very comfortable. I have yet to wear these yet but I am hoping they are similar comfort to my other pair. The leopard print is very “in” right now and I think it really adds a sassy touch to any outfit.

Be sure to check out the clearance sections at your local Target!

*Merona Crossbody Mint Hangbag from Target

Target has debuted their spring line of clothes and accessories and they have some new cute prints and patterns. While I bought a lot of clearance items I wanted to pick up 1 newly unveiled piece just to get excited for spring!

I love crossbody bags and this one caught my eye! They have it in purple and brown also but I chose the mint color because it is great for spring. It has an adjusting strap so you can wear it as a crossbody or a shoulder bag. It has a large front pocket and a zippered pocket inside. This purse is $26.99 at Target.

Mossimo Crossbody Mint Hangbag

I can’t wait to break it as soon as spring approaches!

*Knit Beret and Knit Pom Pom Hat from Forever 21

While I bought a new spring purse at Target I cannot deny that it is still winter here in Michigan. So while scoping the racks at Forever 21 I saw these knit hats on clearance.

This beret is a very soft and has a large knit pattern. The light pink will go with a lot of outfits and jackets. It was on clearance for only $2.80!

I thought that this hat was adorable with the little pom pom on top. I wore it out a few days ago and it is very warm, yet fashionable. Another steal for only $2.80!

Check out the Target shoe clearance section, Forever 21 sale and the new spring handbags at Target!

It’s a 10- Miracle Leave-In Product Review

It’s a 10 is a brand of hair products that I have heard wonderful things about, but never tried until recently. I am always looking for the latest and greatest hair products to improve my fairly long hair.

My hairdresser mentioned the Miracle Leave In product to me a few months ago so when I dropped into Ulta recently I decided to try it. It runs about $17.99 for the small bottle, which is pricey but I after using it I have come to find it is well worth it.

This product claims to:

  • Repair dry, damaged hair
  • Add shine
  • Detangle
  • Control frizz
  • Seal and protect hair color
  • Prevent split ends
  • Stop hair breakage
  • Create silkiness
  • Enhance natural body
  • Flat iron spray and thermal protector

I have been following the directions on the back of the bottle and spraying this in my hair after showering and combing it through. After spraying it in, my hair is SO EASY to comb out, which hasn’t always been the case. I have noticed that my hair has been smoother, silkier, shinier and overall just easier to work with.

It’s a 10 makes 10 claims about this spray and so far all 10 have been proven to be true for me. It is rare to find a hair product that does exactly what it says it will and this is one of them! I couldn’t be happier with this leave in product, I plan to buy more as soon as I run low. I am glad that I splurged a little and gave It’s a 10- Miracle Leave In a try!

P.S. This also came with a sample of It’s a 10- Miracle Hair Mask which I have tried once and love how soft and polished it made my hair. I plan to buy the large size in this next time I am at Ulta!

I highly recommend It’s a 10: Miracle Leave-In and Miracle Hair Mask.

I plan to try their line of 5-minute Hair Repair for Blondes next!

Check out other It’s a 10 products here: It’s a 10

Mally 7-piece Makeup Makeover Review

About 2 weeks ago I was watching TV and randomly switched the channel to QVC where I saw Mally Roncal debuting the Today’s Special Value- her 7-piece Makeup Makeover kit.

Having purchased Mally products in the past I have found to LOVE everything she makes so I knew this was something I had to have.

Here is what comes in the kit:

  • Age Rebel Diamond Un-Powder with puff
  • Evercolor Shadow Stick in Antique Taupe, a rosy shimmer bronze
  • Evercolor Starlight Eyeliner in Black Violet, a deep blackish plum
  • Instant Impact Mascara in Black
  • Perfect Prep Under Eye Brightener: Lighter comes with Fair/Light and Medium; Deeper comes with Tan/Rich
  • High Shine Liquid Lipstick in Delish, a subtle mauve
  • Diamond Un-powder brush
  • Makeup Bag

This kit was a steal for about $60 for all of these items, most of them cost around $30 individually. I was very excited when I received the kit to try everything out and so far here is what I think of each individual product…

-Age Rebel Diamond Un-Powder: I have been using the brush that comes with this instead of the puff to just put it on lightly. This ‘un-powder’ is exactly what the name states, it is not thick and cakey like most powders I have tried. A little goes a long way and it provides a lot of coverage.

-Evercolor Shadow Stick: This is my second Mally shadow stick, I have her ‘trailblazing brown’ as well. I find these shadow sticks to provide all day wear and easy application. When you are in a hurry they are perfect for just quickly swiping on some shadow. This shadow is creamy and rich in color.

-Evercolor Starlight Liner: This is also my second eye liner, I used to have a brown liner but loved it so much that it is gone. This liner is a dark plum (almost black) color and is very creamy. It is easy to apply to lower and upper lash lines. I love the purple color because it brings out my green eyes!

-Instant Impact Mascara: I LOVE this product. I have used the Mally volumizing mascara for about a year now and I adore it, but this mascara may be my new favorite. This is a brand new product, it is a dark black color and the brush has curves on it to grab all the little tiny eyelashes. If you buy one Mally product I would suggest this. You will never use any other mascara!

-Perfect Prep Under Eye Brightener: This was the product that I was most skeptical about because I didn’t think I had under eye darkness. Turns out I do! After using this I noticed a huge change in how bright and awake my eyes look. This brightener is creamy and a little goes a long way. I dab a little under each eye and apply it with my finger before putting on foundation.

-Deep Shine Liquid Lipstick: This is another product that I have tried before, I already have it in ‘lipety split’ which I would suggest for spring/summer. The ‘delish’ color is a deep nude color that is great for the winter months. It is longwearing and very shiny. These lip-glosses also last a long time!

-Diamond Un-Powder Brush: This is the perfect brush for the un-powder, it has a pointed tip to get around the nose and eyes. I would suggest using this brush over the puff that also comes with it.

*I would suggest checking out the product-demo videos on Mally’s website to learn how to properly apply all of the above products!

-Makeup Bag: This bag is very cute and is a large size which would be great for traveling!

Overall, I would highly suggest this kit to anyone that wears makeup. Mally products are quality makeup pieces that are worth the money because they work very well and are long-lasting.

Check out mallybeauty.com to learn more and qvc.com to buy her products!
